dealing with a boss who doesn't understand

Postby azcountry » Wed Oct 14, 2009 2:54 pm

My coworkers at work have been helpful as I struggle sometimes - especially with fibro fog. but my supervisor isn't so understanding and I'm afraid that it's making me more vulnerable to getting fired or laid off. I am not sure it would help to go to HR, or maybe make things worse. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to handle this?

it may be helpful to sit down and talk to your boss about fibromyalgia and provide some materials on what fibromyalgia is. Some people have an incorrect view of fibromyalgia and don't understand that people the diagnosis. It may be helpful to get HR involved after that depending on your boss's response.
